PHOENIX -- A workplace accident killed a man Wednesday in Phoenix.

Police said a contract worker was on a scissor lift about 25 feet above the ground when a piece of his clothing became stuck on the machine’s remote control, which caused the lift to move and pin the man.

The incident happened at a business near 55th Avenue and Buckeye.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will be investigating the incident.
