BUCKEYE, Ariz. – Buckeye police officers arrested a woman after finding approximately 100 pounds of cocaine in her vehicle, according to a spokesman.

Elizabeth Paredes-Rea of San Luis, Ariz., was booked into the Maricopa County Fourth Avenue Jail.

Buckeye police Sgt. Jason Weeks said officers discovered the cocaine after stopping her vehicle for a suspended registration violation on Oct. 2.

The cocaine had a street value of $250,000.

The drugs and vehicle were seized and impounded pending further investigation.
