GLENDALE, Ariz. – The driver of a work truck died Tuesday morning after the truck crashed into a tree.

It happened just before 5:30 a.m. near 67th and Olive avenues.

The driver, who was alone in the truck, was treated at the scene by emergency responders and transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It is unknown what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway but it appears the driver had a medical problem, according to a spokeswoman for the Glendale Police Department.

The driver has been identifed as Allan McGee, 52, of Glendale.

Part of 67th Avenue was closed Tuesday morning while police investigated. It is completely reopened now.
