ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) -- Fast-moving storms have blown through parts of the Northeast, lashing states with heavy rain and high winds and knocking out power.

Utility crews have been working to fix scattered power outages affecting thousands of customers in eastern New York after a line of storms spawned by a cold front.

Winds toppled trees all around Massachusetts, and the National Weather Service is warning of potential flooding along small streams and in poor drainage areas in Pennsylvania.
