PHOENIX -- A man is suffering from life-threatening injuries after being stabbed at a Phoenix bus stop Saturday morning.

According to police, a 30-year-old man was at a bus stop just north of Camelback Road on 35th Avenue when he was stabbed by Louis Todd York, 41.

York fled the scene but approached officers in the area of 37th Avenue and Medlock and made statements that led police to believe he was responsible.

There is no motive behind the stabbing, but police said York indicated he may have mental problems.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
