PHOENIX -- Ready for the runway? Phoenix Fashion Week returns to Talking Stick Resort next week. Dozens of designers, hundreds of models and thousands of spectators will gather at the resort from October 1-5, all in the name of fashion.

Local, national, and international designers will flock to the Valley to present their exclusive collections to the public, other designers, buyers, media, bloggers and celebrities.

This year, you'll also find some environmentally-conscious designers. On Monday's Good Morning Arizona, Los Angeles designer Jennifer Lyn Krischer showed us some items from her "green" collection.

Many of her clothes included re-purposed fabric. "I didn't have fabric manufactured," she says. "I went out and found the fabric."

Even the leather used in her detailing can be considered sustainable. "It's fish leather from Iceland," Krischer says. "It's manufactured in a way that uses only hot water, no chemical tanning in the process. They use geo-thermal hot springs to tan the leather so they don't even use energy."

Since partnering with Talking Stick Resort in 2011, Phoenix Fashion Week (PHXFW) has welcomed more than 10,000 key industry professionals and guests to Scottsdale. An expanded partnership between PHXFW and Talking Stick Resort allows the event the ability to showcase the hottest up-and-coming designers.

This year's partners and sponsors include, Fiat, Pinnacle Aviation, Toni & Guy Hairdressing, UBER, and the UK's top beauty brand No7 Cosmetics & Skincare.

"Phoenix Fashion Week has become an annual marquee event for Talking Stick Resort," said Peter Arceo, senior director of sales and marketing for Talking Stick Resort. "The excitement, energy and fashionable fan base that follows the event is a natural fit for our property and the Talking Stick Resort brand."

"Talking Stick Resort is an ideal partner for PHXFW because of its capability to accommodate our exploding growth," said PHXFW Director Brian Hill. "At Talking Stick Resort we have it all: stunning surroundings, key amenities and a platform that allows us to create our own signature runway look and feel that rivals fashion weeks in New York, Paris, and London. Having our own flexible space, within the venue has been a key component to growing our program and has helped us to effectively show the fashion world how Phoenix has become a game-changing fashion city."

This year, PHXFW attendees can expect a high-energy, high style fashion experience with expanded front-row seating, high-tech lighting, exclusive VIP lounges, interactive brand experiences, premier music and entertainment and special celebrity guests.
