Fire jumps from shed to neighbor's house in Peoria

PEORIA, Ariz. – Investigators are trying to determine what sparked an early morning house fire in Peoria.

Crews were called to 67th Avenue and Mountain View shortly after 7:30 a.m. The fire started in a shed and then jumped to the neighbor’s home. The houses are separated by only a narrow walkway.

Aerial video from the Fort McDowell Casino and Chopper 3 showed flames shooting into the air as fire trucks arrived on the scene. Thick smoke was pouring off the roof of the house.

Firefighters were able to get a handle on the situation fairly quickly, knocking down of the flames in less than 30 minutes.
