TEMPE, Ariz. -- "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" is on stage at ASU's Gammage Auditorium through Sunday, Sept. 22.
3TV's Yetta Gibson got the lowdown on the show from actor Wade McCollum, who plays Tick, the main character.
"It's a beautiful story about three friends who take a road trip across the Australian outback," he explained. "It's basically an adventure story. ... It's a movie from the '90s adapted into a show."
The costumes -- more than 500 of them -- are nothing short of fabulous, even winning a prestigious Tony Award® in 2011.
Yetta's favorite was a bright jumpsuit -- yellow-and-white striped bell-bottoms -- with shoes attached.
"This might be the most fabulous thing I've ever seen," she said.
There are eight performances left in the run at Gammage -- nightly Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, plus matinees Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets are $25-$79 plus fees.
