PHOENIX -- On one of the last mornings of summer, Valley residents woke up to nice, cool morning temperatures.  Morning low temperatures ranged from the upper 60s to mid 70s this morning, about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday morning's temperatures.

Dew points dropped from the 50s to the 20s yesterday as drier air moved into the state.  Lower humidity will be the rule again today, and sunny skies can be expected both today and tomorrow.  Look for afternoon highs around 101 degrees today and 103 tomorrow.

On Saturday, a low-pressure system moves across the West, helping to draw enough moisture into Arizona to bring a chance of showers this weekend.  The state has about a 20 percent chance of rain Saturday and Saturday night.

On Sunday, drier air moves into the region and temperatures drop off a bit.  Look for sunshine on Sunday and temperatures only peaking in the upper 90s.

Sunday is the official start of fall with the autumnal equinox Sunday afternoon at 1:44 p.m. Arizona time.  The sun will be directly over the equator and day and nights are near equal length.
