PHOENIX -- One person is dead and another is injured following a shooting in Northwest Phoenix.

Police said they responded after receiving a call at around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday from a 60-year-old woman who lives near 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

Officers arrived to find the woman's 55-year-old boyfriend dead from a gunshot wound.

The woman's 33-year-old son was also at the home. He was wounded, as well. He was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition.

Police said they do not yet know what led to both men being shot.

Neighbors told 3TV the two men didn't get along very well and often argued.

The incident remains under investigation.
