Bootleggers taking part in Arizona Restaurant Week

PHOENIX -- It only happens twice a year!

Arizona Restaurant Week is making its return Saturday, running Sept. 21-29 and offering nine full days of tasting across our state.

More than 150 restaurants are participating with a goal to position Arizona as one of the top culinary destinations in the nation. Arizona Restaurant Week also helps to stimulate business and revenue for restaurants throughout the state.

Restaurants from central and southern Arizona are offering a prix-fixe dinner for $30 or $40 per person excluding beverages, tax and gratuity.

Its also chance to get people outside their own neighborhoods to experience something new.

From five-star dining to international fare and comfort food, too, there really is something for everyone to enjoy. 

No tickets are necessary, but it is a good idea to make a reservation.  You can find a list of participating restaurants by visiting the Arizona Restaurant Week website.

With so many options to choose from, we gave a new place called Bootleggers a try.  Located in Phoenix, it's been open since May. 

The simple menu offers things like salads, burgers, and BBQ beef brisket with a family friendly atmosphere.  

Bootleggers also specializes in moonshine, including one the owners say tastes like apple pie.
