PEORIA, Ariz. – Peoria police have arrested two suspects in a case involving stolen debit cards.

Dale Buchert, 22, and Christopher Leavitt, 21, were arrested for identity theft and vehicle burglary.

Police said two vehicles were broken into outside the owner's home near Cactus Road and 75th Avenue at about 2 a.m. on July 1. The same suspects likely stole two debit cards from one of the unlocked vehicles.

A short time later, two men were caught on surveillance video inside a store near Peoria and 75th avenues. The stolen cards were being used at the same time and place.

Earlier this month, police asked for the public's help to identify two men considered persons of interest in the case.

Police spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto said Buchert and Leavitt were arrested last week.
