PHOENIX -- A teenage hiker needed to be rescued Sunday morning after she became weak and started vomiting.

The Phoenix Fire Department said they responded to an area near Lincoln Drive and the SR 51 at around 10:30 a.m.

The girl was rehydrated with IVs on scene and was able to walk down with assistance.

Officials said a total of three teenagers were assisted by rescue crews.

The teens had been on the mountain for about an hour before they called for help.
