BUCKEYE, Ariz. – A Boil Water Advisory has been issued for Buckeye residents who use the Valencia Water Company.

On Friday night, the company said in a statement that routine sampling conducted earlier in the week revealed that a sample had detected coliform.

Additional sampling was conducted, and the Valencia Water Company says two of the samples tested positive for E. coli.

One of the positive tests was in the distribution system, while the second one was at a groundwater well.

The Valencia Water Company says it has taken the necessary steps to rectify the issue. Those steps include increasing chlorine concentration levels throughout the system, flushing the system, and taking additional samples.

The Valencia Water Company said they expect the issue to be resolved within 24 hours, adding that they will provide regular updates until the problem is fixed.
