PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- Prescott police say they’ve arrested a man for sexually abusing his live-in girlfriend’s two underage daughters.

Mark Morgan, 41, was arrested Wednesday on charges that include continuous sexual abuse of a child, aggravated luring a minor for sexual exploitation, and misconduct involving weapons.

According to police, detectives spent several months investigating allegations that Morgan had been abusing his girlfriend’s children.

The abuse is believed to have started in January 2011, and continued through December 2012.

The girlfriend and her daughters no longer live with or have a relationship with Morgan.

Morgan was arrested without incident, but police said he did have an illegal firearm in his home.

He was booked into the Yavapai County Jail on a total of seven felony counts.
