YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. -- A family of four had to be rescued Tuesday after their ATV became stuck between two washes near Lake Pleasant, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.

There were no injuries to the man, his wife or their two children, ages 3 and 4 months old.

The father parked their SUV on Castle Hot Springs Road then they headed toward Crown King Road in an ATV.

Sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said instead of turning on the road to Crown King, the father went straight and came to a flash flood. He tried to turn around, but the vehicle became high centered with water all around.

The Department of Public Safety Ranger helicopter found them north of Castle Hot Springs Road and flew them to the Lake Pleasant helipad.
