GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Two California residents were arrested at a Goodyear motel Thursday night after police reportedly found them with more than 4 pounds of heroin.

Tessa Garcia, 33, and Martin Delgado, 25, were booked on several drug charges, including transporting narcotic drugs for sale. A bond of $270,000 was set for each suspect.

At about 11:30 p.m., Goodyear police received a tip about a vehicle possibly loaded with drugs parked at a Super 8 Motel near Dysart Road and Van Buren Street, according to spokeswoman Lisa Kutis.

Police served a search warrant on the vehicle and the pair's motel room. Kutis said they discovered drug paraphernalia and 4.2 pounds of heroin with an estimated Arizona street value of more than $152,000.

Garcia and Delgado told police they were traveling to Ohio.
