Surveillance video shows suspect in Phoenix AM/PM robbery, shooting

PHOENIX -- Police have released surveillance video as they continue to search for the suspect who robbed a Phoenix convenience store twice in the same night and shot a clerk in the leg.
Phoenix police said the suspect took beer and food from the AM/PM store on 23rd Avenue and Indian School Road during the first robbery at approximately 10 p.m. Saturday. He fled in a white four-door sedan.
He then went back to the store about 40 minutes later and walked directly to the counter while holding a gun, according to police. He demanded money and cigarettes then shot the clerk in the leg. He fled in the same vehicle.
The clerk was transported to a local hospital. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 250 pounds. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, black denim jeans, white tennis shoes and a red baseball cap with a black brim.
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspect.
