YUMA, Ariz. -- A teacher in Somerton, Ariz., is accused of molesting three boys while employed at a school in Yuma several years ago.
Detectives with the Yuma Police Department arrested Gabriel Macias, 34, Saturday at his home. He was booked into the Yuma County Jail on charges of child molestation and furnishing harmful items to minors.
Three males, who were between 10 and 13 years old at the time, reported the incidents occurred between 2003 and 2006 at Macias' home, according to police.
Sgt. Leanne Worthen said all three males were Macias' students when he worked as a fifth-grade teacher at Harvest Preparatory Academy in Yuma.
Macias left that school in 2006 and is currently a third-grade teacher at Desert Sonora Elementary School in Somerton.
Police said there may be other potential victims and the investigation is ongoing.
