PHOENIX (AP) -- An Arizona woman accused of running over her husband because he didn't vote in November's presidential election has rejected an offered plea agreement.

Authorities say 29-year-old Holly Nicole Solomon was upset about President Barack Obama's re-election and argued with her husband when she found out he didn't vote.

Holly Solomon's lawyer says Solomon rejected prosecutors' plea offer in court Friday because it called for a prison term and because she wants to tell her side of the story in court.

Police say Solomon chased her husband through a Gilbert parking lot with their SUV, circled him as he took refuge behind a light pole and struck him as he tried to flee.

Her husband suffered a fractured pelvis.

Holly Solomon is set to go on trial on Oct. 30.
