PHOENIX -- You may want to be extra careful the next time you make the drive from Phoenix to Los Angeles.
According to Popular Mechanics, the 150-mile stretch of Interstate 10 from Phoenix to the California border has made the list of the ten most dangerous highways.
The stretch of road sees up to 85 deaths a year, which is a lot when you consider the state of Arizona averages 700 deaths a year.
Other dangerous drives that made the list include Interstate 26 in South Carolina, Highway 550 in Colorado, and California State Route 138.
The Arizona Department of Transporation said the 150 miles of Interstate 10 east from the Arizona-California border averages 29 deaths per year.
