TEMPE, Ariz. -- A couple of strange little devils are back in the wild following a visit to Sun Devil Stadium.

On Tuesday night, two javelinas managed to sneak onto the field, possibly through a hole in a fence.

Arizona State University called in pest specialist Lone Wolf Wildlife to trap and release the duo.

However, it took the professional crew nearly two hours to catch the unwanted visitors.

“Typically, they can be very fast animals and they can be very, very mean,” said Joe Dewolf with Lone Wolf Wildlife. “Fortunately for us today, we were able to get them, no problems.”

No humans or javelinas were injured during the capture.

The animals were released in the East Valley Wednesday morning.
