MESA, Ariz. -- The landing gear of a small plane collapsed Tuesday morning as the plane touched down at Falcon Field.

The plane skidded to a stop after the gear collapsed, according to Forrest Smith with the Mesa Fire Department.

The pilot was the only person on board the aircraft and was not hurt.

Emergency crews responded and described the incident as minor.
