"With nearly 40 years as a professional interior designer, among the most difficult of projects was our own home!" she told 3TV. "Since I believe in the 'bloom were you are planted' theory, when we moved from the Midwest eight years ago, we purchased an adobe home in North Scottsdale. This home had great 'bones' with very tranquil surroundings, wildlife, mountains and great topography.
"In an effort to incorporate the out of doors with our 46 years of marriage, the goal was to blend our lifetime together with the meaningful artifacts both collected and passed down from precious family. We are much more of a ''contemporary' family, therefore the mixing of the 'old and the new' creating the juxtaposition of Southwest with Organic Contemporary is the outcome.
"On the cover and within the pages of the September issue of Phoenix Home and Garden, you will see that we really do 'live with what we love' to include more texture and architecture than color.
