ARIZONA CITY, Ariz. -- Pinal County officers apprehended two suspects connected with multiple thefts at the end of July.
Arizona City residents David Versluis, 25, and Ashley Pagels, 23, are accused of stealing from a vehicle and burglarizing at least one home.
According to police, witnesses observed Versluis and Pagels fleeing the scene of a burglary on July 29. Two days later, police say they stole a wallet from a car. Versluis later used the credit card he found inside the wallet at a business in Arizona City.
Police were able to obtain a warrant and arrest the pair in their residence. They recovered property taken during several reported thefts and at least five additional burglaries.
Versluis and Pagels have been booked on numerous counts of burglary and possession of stolen property. In addition, Versluis was booked for theft of a credit card, fraudulent use of a credit card and forgery.
