ARIZONA CITY, Ariz. -- The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people last week who are suspected of committing multiple burglaries in Arizona City.
According to PCSO, 25-year-old David Versluis and 23-year-old Ashley Pagels were taken into custody after probable cause was developed linking them to several crimes.
Witnesses told authorities they had witnessed Versluis and Pagels fleeing the scene of a burglary last month. Versluis also allegedly used a stolen credit card at a local business.
On Aug. 1, a search warrant was executed at Versluis and Pagels’ residence. Inside the home PCSO said they found property taken in at least five additional burglaries.
“Detectives were able to recover flat screen televisions, tools, multiple garage door openers, vehicle keys and other property,” said Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu. “We also recovered a stolen military style ballistic vest. These are more serious crimes since victims not only lose their property, but they also lose their feeling of safety in their home.”
Versluis and Pagels were booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center for several counts of burglary and possession of stolen property.
