PEORIA, Ariz. – Peoria police are asking for the public's help identifying two suspects who were caught on surveillance video trying to use a stolen credit card.

According to police spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto, a gray Jeep Cherokee with racing rims was stolen from a home near 82nd Avenue and Beardsley Road sometime between midnight and 4 a.m. on July 28.

Jacinto said the same suspects likely took a purse from an unlocked vehicle in the same driveway.

Just after 4 a.m., a male suspect tried to use a credit card from the stolen purse at a store near Lake Pleasant Parkway and Deer Valley Road. He and a female suspect then tried to use the card at a car wash a short time later.

In both cases, the male suspect was seen getting out of a silver Chevrolet Silverado. He is described as a white male, about 18 to 25 years old with brown hair and was seen wearing a white hat. The female suspect is about 18 to 25 years old, heavyset with blond hair.

Police have released pictures of the suspects and their vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 623-773-7045.
