Police stopped Beasley, 24, for a traffic violation near Scottsdale Road and McCormick Parkway at 1:15 a.m.
As an officer approached Beasley's vehicle, he could smell marijuana coming from the car, according to information posted on the Scottsdale Police Department's website.
Police said they searched the driver's area and recovered marijuana.
Beasley was booked pending charges for possession of marijuana and released.
