PEORIA, Ariz. -- Peoria police have tracked down a man wanted in connection to an armed robbery at a convenience store.

Detectives located Greg Prieto, 34, in Phoenix Monday evening and took him into custody.

Police said two suspects entered a convenience store near Peoria and 75th avenues just after 5 a.m. on July 7.

According to Peoria police spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto, the male suspect told a clerk that he and his girlfriend were going to take anything they wanted and if the clerk did anything to stop them, he was "going to blast him."

Jacinto said the suspect led the clerk to believe that he had a gun but never revealed it.

Both suspects grabbed merchandise and left the store without paying.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspects on July 15.

Investigators said the female in the surveillance picture is a juvenile. She has not been arrested at this time.
