3TV Community Letter - July 2013Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- 3TV is dedicated to being an influential part of Arizona's Family.
Our community outreach expands past our airwaves and into the lives of our viewers: at their schools, supporting their causes and contributing our support to each and every member of Arizona's Family.
As a station, we invest our time in causes that are close to our heart, and sponsor events and organizations that make an impact in the state.
The motto of "Arizona’s Family" is demonstrated by our talent and their participation in various events, supporting hundreds of organizations that make Arizona a better place.
Together we can make a positive difference and support every member of "Arizona's Family."
On Air Talent Activities
May 31: 3TV meteorologist April Warnecke brought her forecast to the Mesa Rotary Club to round out the month. Members of the Mesa Rotary Club discussed the ever-changing monsoon season and how this year is unique to years past.
July 8-31: Did you know that everyday an average of 121 animals find their way to the doors of the Arizona Humane Society? Some sick, some hungry, some in desperate need for care and the Arizona Humane Society takes them all in. That’s way 3TV has partnered to support Project 121, in an effort to raise funds that will directly save the lives of the over 44,000 animals that are helped every year. Donate today.
Project 121 will continue through August and end on Saturday, August 24 with a live pet telethon from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Station Community Commitment
The tragedies of the Yarnell Hill Fire have rocked the entire state, not just the families of the fallen 19 firefighters or the residents of the Yarnell community. 3TV strives to support all of the needs across Arizona and partnered with Bashas’ & Food City stores to raise over $160,000 to support The Salvation Army and The 100 Club of Arizona. Thank you to our viewers for your continued support of our community.
Our station ambassador, Christina Duggan, leads select members of Arizona’s Family through a one hour educational tour explaining the inner workings of 3TV, CW6 and azfamily.com.
