PHOENIX -- It was a mostly cloudy start to the new work week across the deserts of Arizona.

Showers were making their way north from Southern Arizona, but were not expected to hold together long enough to make it into the Valley.  We're expecting mostly cloudy skies much of the day in the Valley, with a forecast high of 105 degrees.  We're also looking at breezy conditions developing  this afternoon, with winds up to 15 mph in the Valley.

There's a slight chance for showers tonight with an overnight low of about 87 degrees.

Tomorrow, there's a slight chance for showers continues under mostly cloudy skies and we'll only warm up to about 100 degrees.

By Wednesday, mostly sunny skies return along with warmer temperatures and dry weather for the second half of the week and into the weekend.
