PHOENIX -- ASU's Downtown Phoenix campus has more students than the dorms can hold, so the school will temporarily relocate them to a nearby hotel.

Officials say there are 811 freshmen and 367 upper-classmen assigned to Taylor Place, the only dorm for the Phoenix campus. Fewer than 90 students who weren't placed will be accommodated at the Westin Hotel, which is adjacent to the downtown campus.

Students will have full access to the hotel amenities, including the pool, fitness facilities, internet and maid services. Support and program opportunities in Taylor Place will be extended to these students as well.

A community director and community assistant will also reside in the Westin as resources for the students living there.

A press release says Taylor Place is "confident" they will be able to provide a permanent assignment for each student by the start of the fall semester.
