TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Tempe Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a man who has been groping women in local grocery stores.

According to police, the man stalks women until he gets them in an isolated part of the store. He then walks up behind the women and grabs their buttocks as they shop. Each time he has been able to run away before anyone can confront him.

"Whenever we're dealing with somebody who's doing a sexual contact like this my fear is that it could escalate," said Sgt. Michael Pooley, Tempe police spokesperson.

There have been three reported incidents each taking place at a different Fry's location in Tempe.

"Creepy in general, yes," said a female shopper at one of the victimized Fry's locations. "It's just unacceptable. [The suspect] should have better manners. [He] should be raised up a little better."

"Honestly I would probably scream, then just drop all my groceries and be done and just leave," said another female shopper at the same Fry's.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s who is average in height and weight.

During two of the incidents the man was reportedly wearing a black shirt with a spider on the front.

He was also wearing a baseball hat with an “A” on it during all three reported incidents.

The man has been seen driving a silver, newer looking SUV.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311.
