PHOENIX -- More than 80 people will be sleeping under the stars Wednesday night as one of the country’s most popular fast food chains gets ready to open a new store.

Chick-fil-A will be opening a new restaurant at 16th Street and Camelback on Thursday, and dozens of fans will be camping outside the building with the hopes of winning free food for a year.

The loyal Chick-fil-A fans won’t have it too hard, however, as they will be provided with food, drinks, entertainment and restrooms.

Phoenix’s latest Chick-fil-A is particularly noteworthy because it will be their first “new store design” in the country.

Chick-fil-A currently has more than 1,700 stores in 38 states.

Their latest addition will open Thursday at 6 a.m.
