PHOENIX -- Several people were forced out of their homes early Sunday morning after a fire ripped through a condo complex.

The fire broke out just before 3 a.m. at a complex near 32nd Street and Indian School Road.

Approximately 35 firefighters were brought in to tackle the blaze that spread to two condos.

Damage from the smoke forced a total of four condos to be shut down.

Fire officials said a few pets died as well.

The Red Cross is now working with the six people who have been displaced because of the fire.

There’s no word yet on what started the fire.
