CHANDLER, Ariz. -- A Chandler neighborhood had to be evacuated early Sunday morning after a truck crashed into a house.

The truck reportedly ran into a home in the area of Pecos and Cooper roads just after midnight.

The neighborhood had to be evacuated after it was discovered that the vehicle had landed on a major gas line that had ruptured.

Police said the driver took off on foot, but officers caught up with him about a mile away. He is now in custody.

There are no reports of any injuries.
