PHOENIX (AP) -- Police are at a Phoenix home where two dead bodies have been found and they say it appears to be a murder-suicide.
Police officials say the bodies of a man and woman had been at the location for several days.
Officers were called to the home about 11 a.m. Friday to conduct a welfare check on the couple.
Friends say they hadn't seen the man and woman for several days and couldn't contact them.
Police entered the home and found the two bodies.
They say it will be up to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death.
But they say the early indications are it was possible murder-suicide.
Neighbor Steve Ramer said he's lived in the area for years, and it's always been a pretty quiet neighborhood.
"We've lived here since 1983, and it has been pretty peaceful. We really haven't had a lot of issues," said Ramer.
The names of the man and woman haven't been released yet and their relationship is unclear.
