Home and Garden Show is back this weekendPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- The Maricopa County Home and Garden Show is back in town at University of Phoenix Stadium.
It's the largest event in the state for anything related to the home and garden. There are booths for everything from roofing and artificial grass to interior decoration and home remodeling.
One exceptional outdoor decor item being sold is the tiki towel rack. Clayton Ross makes these as a hobby and always sells out of them every year.
"I can't make them fast enough," Ross said. "I sold out the last show, I'll sell out this time. They take about 10 hours apiece, not including dry time."
Beau Bundy of Burns Pest Elimination talks at his booth about how their dog sniffs out pheromones that may have been left by bedbugs. With the summer weather here, bedbugs are beginning to become an issue in the state.
"We're starting to see the influx of bedbugs hit Arizona," Bundy said.
The show is a great place to look for deals on making your home and yard better, as well as find inspiration for how to liven up your home.
The show runs Friday through Sunday. It's $5 for adults to get in, $2 for children between 3 and 12, and free for children under 2.
