Light poles, guard rails stolen from ADOT storage yard in Yavapai County

YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. -- The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of light poles and guard rails from an Arizona Department of Transportation storage yard.

The four 40-foot-long aluminum light poles and 12 20-foot-long aluminum round pipe bridge rails were worth an estimated $5,000.

The storage yard off Highway 69 near Cordes Junction is surrounded by a chain-link fence topped with barbed wire.

Sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said there were no signs of forced entry.

The theft likely took place between noon Friday and 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
