TUCSON, Ariz. -- Bette Midler has been connecting with fans across the globe for decades, but it's her recent interaction with one of her supporters in Tucson that has gone viral.

Anna Greenburg, 28, was terminally ill with a rare form of cancer that had spread to her lungs and brain.

Greenburg was a big Bette Midler fan, and with her time limited, she wanted nothing more than to meet the legendary entertainer.

Greenburg got to fulfill her wish when she met Midler at the premiere of the movie “Parental Guidance,” but with just days left to live, Greenburg and Midler got to share one last moment together.

“You are such an angel, such a wonderful soul. I’m so glad that I got the chance to meet you,” Midler told Greenburg over the phone as she lay in her hospital bed.

While the two shared one final conversation, Greenburg asked Midler if she could fulfill one last request.

“Could you fulfill one of my dreams and sing ‘Wind Beneath my Wings’ to me?” Greenburg asked.

“Of course angel,” Midler replied.

Midler performed her hit single over the phone before telling Greenburg that she loved her and would never forget her.

Sadly, Greenburg passed away just three days after her conversation with Midler.

Greenburg's family has since released the video of their conversation as a tribute to both the loved one they lost, and Midler's kind heart.

And while she’s no longer with them, Greenburg's friends and family will always remember that her final wish was able to become a reality.
