GRAND CANYON, Ariz. -- A series of breaks in the Trans-Canyon Water Pipeline is causing a water shortage at Phantom Ranch.

While all Grand Canyon trails remain open, hikers trekking to that specific area are advised to carry or treat all drinking water themselves. Overnight accommodations and services are also temporarily suspended.

The National Park Service says they expect pipeline repairs to be completed by Saturday.
