PHOENIX -- If you don't think Phoenix has much history because of how young it is, think again.

Phoenix Magazine is doing a special segment on notorious events that have occurred in the Valley. Famous people and incidents will be featured.

And perhaps the most notorious man in our time, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, is featured on the cover.

"Our writer gets into the forces that created the man," said Craig Outhier, editor of Phoenix Magazine. "We don't pass judgment, it's a very fair and insightful article, whether you're fan of the sheriff or not."

Other stories included are Don Bolles' murder, Winnie Ruth Judd's trial, the birth of the Miranda Rights, and the Hell's Angels founder's relocation to the desert.
