BLACK CANYON CITY, Ariz. (AP) -- A tractor-trailer rig and another vehicle collided and then went off northbound Interstate 17 and down several hundred feet down a slope in the median near Black Canyon City, injuring four people Friday morning.

Firefighters were seen carrying a person on a stretcher up the slope from the truck toward emergency vehicles while another responder was examining the second vehicle some distance away on the slope.

Both vehicles appeared to be upright, and the Department of Public Safety says the injuries were minor.
