PHOENIX -- When it's this hot outside, no one likes to cook. So how about trying something at 30 restaurants around town?

30 tastes, 30 restaurants, 30 bucks. That's the idea behind "Small Bites of Summer", a benefit that started this weekend and runs all summer long. It gives foodies a chance to visit many restaurants they might never get to try.

Upon presenting your Small Bites of Summer card at each participating establishment, receive a one complimentary small bite (one per card). It’s like a culinary festival on your own schedule!

"It's a program that allows people o enjoy 30 restaurants," says Chef Jacques Qualin of the Phoenician's J&G Steakhouse. "And it's $30, so it's a very good deal."

The event involves individual punch cards, and diners can sample a variety of dishes at many of the Valley's best dining spots, like Bink's, Del Frisco's Grille, Searsuckers and House of Tricks.

"It's a good promotion for everyone," says Qualin. "We also participate because it's a charity." A portion of the card sales will benefit the Red Cross and Oklahoma tornado victims.
