YUMA, Ariz. (AP) -- An autopsy shows that a baby whose body was found at a recycling plant in the southwestern Arizona city of Somerton most likely hadn't taken a breath outside the womb before he died.
The Yuma Sun reports that the autopsy concluded the cause of death remained undetermined.
Somerton police are investigating the incident.
Workers at the plant found the body on Feb. 14 in a plastic bag while they were separating materials for recycling.
Medical examiners referred to the child as "Baby Doe."
The autopsy concluded the male child was about 20 to 22 weeks into gestation at the time of death.
The autopsy report says the child had developed normally and didn't suffer any trauma, except for a superficial abrasion found above the right ear. ------ Information from: The Sun, http://www.yumasun.com
