PHOENIX -- A man who had been missing since Thursday evening has been found safe.
Glenn Edward Martin, 78, was reported missing by his adult children. He was last seen at his home in the area of Seventh Avenue and Beardsley Road Thursday at about 5:30 p.m. He is believed to have left on foot.
Martin suffers from cognitive impairment similar to Alzheimer's or dementia and might have been confused or disoriented.
Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said Saturday evening that Martin was wandering in an apartment complex. He apparently knocked on a door and told the person who answered that he needed help. That person took Martin to a hospital as a precaution.
