Police search for suspects after high-speed pursuit in Goodyear, PhoenixPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Police officers are searching for two or three suspects following a high-speed pursuit through Goodyear and Phoenix Friday morning.
Goodyear police spotted a vehicle that matched the description of one they had been looking for in connection to as many as a dozen home invasions.
The pursuit started on southbound Loop 303 at Indian School Road in Goodyear and continued along eastbound Interstate 10 into Phoenix. Speeds reportedly reached in excess of 100 mph.
The suspect vehicle, a green Dodge Dakota, crashed in a neighborhood near Portland and 16th streets in Phoenix. The occupants bailed out of the truck and have not been located.
According to Goodyear police, the suspects are two or three Hispanic males in their 20s or 30s.
Police have blocked off the area from Roosevelt Street to Interstate 10 and from 20th Street to 12th Street.
Earlier reports indicated that one person was detained, but police later said none of the suspects is in custody.
