Southbound I-17 reopens following fatal crash near Black Canyon City

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Department of Transportation says the southbound lanes of Interstate 17 have been reopened near Black Canyon City following a fatal crash that killed two people Saturday morning.

According to ADOT, the collision involved a wrong-way driver.

No further details about the accident have been revealed, but ADOT did say that motorists should still expect delays while they work to relieve approximately seven miles of traffic.
