SCOTTSDALE -- Scottsdale police began a search Tuesday evening after a man tried to abduct a 19-year-old woman who was jogging in the Troon North area of Scottsdale near Dynamite Blvd and Alma School Rd.

According to police, as the victim was jogging past a car on the side of the road a man got out of the car and grabbed her and tried to pull her inside the car.

The woman was able to get away without being hurt. The suspect got back in his car and fled the area.

The victim described the suspect as a white man, 6 feet tall, 220 to 225 pounds, with a heavy build and a dark beard. His vehicle is described as a small silver car with dark wheels.
