Recipes for sweet summer treatsPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- As temperatures heat up, summer desserts are on our minds. The ladies of "Good Morning Arizona" scoured Pinterest boards for something to satisfy the sweet tooth.
April took advantage of peach season and whipped up a peach cobbler with her boys, Greer and Charlie. She thought it turned out great. It was a perfect mix of batter and peaches. One note. She used a lot less sugar than the recipe called for.

Yetta said her skinny no-bake peanut butter pie was a big giant "fail." While making the recipe was so simple her 2-year-old did most of the work, the pie was runny and impossible to cut.
Yetta says she refrigerated the pie much longer than the two to three hours the recipe called for; but the pie still was not firm. However, after a taste-test on the GMAZ set, Gina and April gave the pie's taste a big thumbs up, though you may need a spoon or straw to partake!

Yetta also made chocolate caramel rice krispies treats. When she tried to layer the caramel and chocolate on top of the rice krispies, Yetta says both seeped right through.

Gina also picked a no-bake recipe -- cheesecake strawberry bites. She loves this dessert because there is no need to fire up the oven in the summer and she loves incorporating fruit into dessert. This recipe was simple, quick and makes for a pretty presentation. They're great for a party for a fun dessert for the kids.
